In the Summer of 2006, a very rare tornado touched down in Central Westchester, hitting parts of the Rockefeller Estate in Pocantico Hills, not far from my home. This was taken from Route 9W northbound near Cornwall, New York. The view eastward is typically the Hudson River, and you can make it out just under the clouds. For some reason the cloud was very low that day, creating a remarkable visual effect.
